Among the films presented at the 2017 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, there is Little Crusader by Václav Kadrnka, which was selected at the Roman market NCN (New Cinema Network) in 2013 and won the Eurimages Co-production Development Awardat the time.
Little Crusader tell the story of Bořek, a medieval knight who is desperately looking for his young son who left for the Holy Land. The film is an adaptation of a poem by Jaroslav Vrchlický, a Czech poet and literary critic.
