RAI’s Board of Directors is about to be renewed and now it is possible to apply through the chambers websites.
In the next meeting, to be held at the latest by 30 June, the Board of Directors of Rai will be renewed. Now it is possible to send proposals to become a member by submitting an application on the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate websites. The Palazzo Montecitorio and the Palazzo Madama will each elect two members, together with another member elected by the Treasury. In RAI’s headquarter, instead, only one member will compete for the representation of the employees.
The statement issued yesterday said: “The Senate of the Republic and the Italian Chamber of Deputies have published today, in their respective institutional sites, the notice for the presentation of candidacies to Rai’s Board of Directors, for the purpose of the election of 4 members. Those who intend to apply to become a member of the Rai Board must send their candidacy exclusively via certified email to the addresses published on the Chamber and the Senate websites”. The fact that the new government has not yet been formed makes it difficult to foresee who will be assigned to the six directive positions, and more precisely, who will be the new CEO. It is due to this, with the former directorate still holding their positions, that in the next 40-45 days the selection will be in charge of the outgoing Minister of Economy Pier Carlo Padoan.
