Menocchio by Alberto Fasulo arrives at the Locarno Festival from 1st to 11th August 2018.
The film directed by Alberto Fasulo Menocchio arrives at the Locarno Festival in the International competition. Also presented at the Rome Market in 2014, the project will have its world premiere at the Locarno Festival.
Menocchio is a co-production between Nefertiti Film, Rai Cinema and Hai-Hui Entertainment, with MiBACT‘s contribution.
The story – with Marcello Martini, Nilla Patrizio and Mirko Artuso – focus on the biographical story of Domenico Scandella, known as Menocchio, a Friulian miller from Montreale Valcellina who was prosecuted and executed for heresy by the Inquisition.
