Apple CEO Tim Cook unveils details of his new streaming service, Apple TV+, available on the new app this fall.
So Apple finally opens to TV, the Apple TV Channels app will collect on a single device the contents, including those of the partner channels Hbo, Showtime, Starz, Epix, Cbs All Access. Users will also be able to view contents offline and without advertising. The app, available from May, will also be integrated into some smart TVs such as LG, Sony, Samsung and Vizio.
Even more awaited is the Apple TV+ streaming service that will offer content produced by Tim Cook’s company. For the new productions, Apple has hired great Hollywood stars, first of all Steven Spielberg, but also J.J. Abrams, Damien Chazelle, Ron Howard, Sofia Coppola, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, M. Night Shyamalan, Jason Momoa, Octavia Spencer and Hailee Steinfeld. Top star Oprah Winfrey who, among other shows, will also be involved in a series of documentaries dedicated to sexual harassment. The new streaming service will be launched in over one hundred countries in the fall.
