APA (Association of Audiovisual Producers), RTI (Reti Televisive Italiane) and RAI (Radiotelevisione Italiana) announce Carlo Bixio Prize’s 8th edition. The call for proposals is open to original screenplays and series concepts. The deadline for submitting applications is September 4th.
This year edition promotes young talents who present a TV series project which has international prospects. The call for proposals consists in two categories: screenplay and series concept. Young authors (under 30 years old) who will present an original and unpublished screenplay or series concept are eligible for the application.
Projects will be assessed by a jury of experts who will select the two winning projects, one in the screenplay category and another in the series concept category. The two winning projects will be announced during MIA (International Audiovisual Market) 2019 edition. The winners will be awarded 10.000 euros (the best screenplay) and 5.000 euros (the best series concept) for a 12-moth agreement with Mediaset.
