Searching for Valentina – The world of Guido Crepax by Giancarlo Soldi (Doc Pitching Forum | MIA 2018) will participate in the 76th edition of the Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia (August 28 – September 7, 2019).
The film, produced by Bizef Produzione srl, Laser digital and Rai com, has been selected to be part of the “Giornate degli Autori” (Venice Days), where there will be a special event in the “Venetian Nights” at the Villa degli Autori (Author’s Villa).
Synopsis
A fascinating biographic odyssey among dreams, desires and obsessions to discover the world of Guido Crepax through Valentina, the creation that identifies himself. A portrait of the artist between narration and vision. Set in the years in which Milan, Paris and London explode in cultural effervescence, an aesthetic and narrative revolution contaminates the artistic world with Crepax as one of the protagonists. The film is a journey in search of Valentina, elegant and sophisticated erotic dream for men and symbol of independence, fascination and seduction for women, where the boundaries of past and present dissolve.
