The Italian Audiovisual Producers Association (APA), chaired by Giancarlo Leone, has elected Giannandrea Pecorelli and Nicola Serra as new members of the APA Presidential Committee.
Giannandrea Pecorelli, former APA Advisor, has previously held important roles in RAI, Endemol Italia, Sony TV Italy; in 2004 he founded and became CEO of Aurora TV (Banijay Group), the production house of well-known successes including Notte prima degli esami, Il Paradiso delle Signore and Matrimoni e altre follie. In Rai, he launched among others Don Matteo and Un medico in famiglia, he edited the first season of Raccontami, while for Mediaset he followed as executive producer the miniseries Il generale Dalla Chiesa.
Nicola Serra, who for the first time holds a role in the organ of the Association, is the General Manager of Palomar, a television and film production company founded by Carlo Degli Esposti who has created and distributed more than 100 productions, including most of the major successes of Italian television fiction, such as Inspector Montalbano. Serra has worked as a producer on many of the company’s projects and oversees the international catalog of Palomar titles. Among his television productions, The Young Montalbano, Red Band Society, I Delitti del Barlume and Maltese.
