The Film Commission of the southern Italian region of Puglia, presided over by the filmmaker Maurizio Sciarra has tripled its funds for the next three years.
The sum that the Apulia Film Fund will make available to those shooting their projects in the southern region of Italy up to ten million euros for the period of 2018-2020, with a maximum possible contribution of one million euros. The announcement was made during the «Producers Network», the event that gathers film-industry professionals from all over the world that took place last night at the Cannes Film Festival.
Puglia region is certainly investing in the film industry, as it considers it a strategic sector also for boosting the tourism industry; hence the decision to focus on its development and enhance the entire regional economy.
