Gianlorenzo Bernini vs. Francesco Borromini. Their contest is rooted in the history of art. One of the most famous rivalries of the past, its protagonists are two characters in perpetual competition for celebrity, glory and the favors of the Pope.
Art, love, cardinals, and courtiers provide a backdrop to the clash between two ambitious and ingenious men, whose extraordinary lives intertwine: Bernini is brilliant and untiring, while Borromini is restless and indecisive.

With them, we fin ourselves in an open-air museum, among the streets, customs and rituals of a fascinating and mysterious Baroque Rome.
Does this mean that in “Beautiful Minds – Bernini vs Borromini”, we will be able to see and touch the marblefolds, the chiaroscuros, breathe the dust and hear the sound of their tireless chisels? All we have to do is wait for the series to take shape on the small screen.
Other details on their friendship and rivalry will be revealed in the project conceived by Davide Sala, Eleonora Fiorini and Giorgia Mariani for Endemol Shine Italy, to be previewed at MIA 2017 (International Audio-Visual Market) from October 19th-23rd, in Rome.
