The winners of the First and Second Works and International Panorama sections of the Bari Bif&st have been announced. Among the winners also films screened at MIA past editions.
The winners are:
- Ettore Scola Award for the best direction:: Alessandro Aronadio for Orecchie (Matrioska, with the support of Biennale College – Cinema)
- Mariangela Melato Award for Cinema and best leading actress: Sara Serraiocco for La Ragazza del Mondo by Marco Danieli (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia Production, D.O. Consulting & Production, BarbaryFilms, Rai Cinema, with the contribution of MiBACT, Margutta Digital, F.lli Cartocci, AnnamodeCostumes, Fabio Piscopo), presented at MIA 2016.
- Gabriele Ferzetti Award for the best leading actor: Luca Marinelli for Il Padre d’Italia (Bianca Film, with the contribution of MiBACT, with the support of Film Commission Torino Piemonte), presented at What’s Next Italy 2016.
- Best direction: Goran Paskaljevic for Dev Bhoomi.
- Best actress: Hera Hilmar for An Ordinary Man by Brad Silberling.
- Best actor: Leonardo Sbaraglia for El Otro Hermano by Adriàn Caetano.
