Who were the best contestants at the Cannes Film Festival? Among the winners, there has been a remarkable presence of Italy: Marcello Fonte (main actor of Dogman), Alice Rohrwacher (for Lazzaro Felice screenplay) and Stefano Savona (for the documentary Samouni Road).
It has been quite a remarkable festival for Italian cinema, which brings home three awards for three different films. Firstly, Marcello Fonte, Best Actor Award winner for his interpretation in Matteo Garrone’s Dogman. Alice Rohrwacher also got the award for Best Screenplay Award for the film Lazzaro Felice. The “Oeil d’or” Award for Best Documentary instead went to Samouni Road by Stefano Savona.
