The General Direction of Cinema and Audiovisual MiBACT has published in the last few days a call for selective contributions for cinematographic works in co-production or international minority participation for the year 2020.
This act disposes the allocation of 5 million Euros, which will be paid to the winners of the ranking in two sessions of 2.5 million each: the first one from September 28th to October 20th 2020, and a second one from November 28th to December 1st 2020.
The request for access is reserved to Italian production companies. The project must be a film or an animation work of which the requiring company holds at least 20% of the rights. It is also required that these works have obtained the Italian Provisional Nationality.
TThe amount paid out cannot be higher than 300,000 Euro and it will not be refundable. This sum will have a spending constraint: at least 80% of the granted contribution will have to be spent on the national territory.
