The €200,000 “CINEPERIFERIE” tender has been launched, an initiative aimed at financing cultural projects to raise the value of city suburbs and communities based in these areas. The tender has been called by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Art and Architecture and Urban Peripheries (DGAAP) and the Cinema General Direction DGC (DGC).
Two types of activities will be eligible for funding: film screenings to be presented in economically and socially undeveloped areas attempting to involve the local residents; the production of short documentary films focused on the community living in these specific areas.
The total Budget to be assigned to the projects will be of €200,000, with a limit of €15 thousand for film screenings and €25 thousand for the production of documentaries.
Federica Galloni, director of DGAAP, has confirmed the commitment of the Directorate-General “for supporting and enhancing the talent of Italian artists, in order to foster the development and affirmation of the creative ability in our country”.
