The Media sub-programme of Creative Europe has launched two new calls for proposals in support of the audiovisual industry: one for TV programming and the other for development of audiovisual contents.
With the aim of strengthening the capacity of the audiovisual sector to operate at a transnational and international level, the Media sub-programme of Creative Europe has as its priority to increase the capacity of operators to develop European works that are attractive to the market, also facilitating European and international co-productions. To achieve these objectives, two funds have been activated with a total value of 18.9 million euros.
The first call for proposals with a budget of 13.5 million euros is dedicated to supporting the television programming of European audiovisual works. “The candidates – as stated in the call – must be independent European audiovisual production companies producing the majority of the work. Eligible formats: films (single or serial edition), animations (single or serial edition), creative documentaries (single or serial edition). There are two deadlines for submitting applications: a first deadline by 18 December 2018 and a second deadline by 28 May 2019 (for further details).
The second call for proposals has a budget of 5.4 million euros and is intended to support the development of audiovisual content, feature films, animations and creative documentaries for distribution in cinemas, television and online. Also in this call for proposals, two deadlines have been set for the submission of applications: the first by 18 December 2018 and the second by 20 February to 24 April 2019 (for further information).
