British producer Damian Jones, who last year was listed as one of the UK’s top 50 producers and was a key guest at MIA’s UK Focus, renewed his 2016 framework agreement with Fox Searchlight and on the occasion unveiled his new professional projects, including a film version of One Man, Two Guvnors, an English adaptation of Carlo Goldoni‘s Servitore di due padroni, as well as a review of Sleeping with the Enemy, starring Julia Roberts .
Emerging American director Nia DaCosta is writing and will direct the new version of Sleeping with the Enemy, while One Man, Two Guvnors was written by Oli Refson, creator of the BBC TV series Uncle and will be produced by Richard Bean and Nicholas Hytner. Damian Jones Films is also producing John Madden’s President’s Astrologer, written by Australian screenwriter Samantha Strauss, which focuses on the controversial figure of Joan Quigley, Ronald and Nancy Reagan‘s personal astrologer.
