The Council of Ministers has recently approved the “Decreto Agosto”, a series of measures to support the tourism and culture sectors, for a value of three billion euros.
“A truly impressive intervention with many measures: from contributions to commercial activities in the cities of art; the suspension of the IMU for accommodation facilities, cinemas and theaters; to support employees, temporary workers and seasonal workers; aid for all accommodation facilities, theaters, cinemas and museums. A due support for two sectors that make Italy unique and envied all over the world “, says Dario Franceschini, Italian Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism.
Even Carlo Fontana, president of AGIS (Associazione Generale Italiana dello Spettacolo), commented on some of the rules contained in the “Decreto Agosto”: “Another positive fact are the resources of the emergency fund for entertainment, cinema and audiovisual already introduced by “Decreto Cura Italia”, and then enhanced by the “Decreto Rilancio”, which are increased by a further 90 million, bringing the total endowment to 335 million euros“.
