The European Commission approves the aquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney, but the antitrust authorities have set certain limits.
A transaction worth 71.3 billion dollars. Thus One company Disney managed to acquire 21st Century Fox. To seal the operation was missing only the ok from the guarantors of the antitrust of the European Commission that arrived, but under certain conditions. In fact, in order not to violate the rules of competition, Disney will have to lose some television channels dedicated to scientific and documentary programming.
The road is downhill instead on the film side. The opinion on the merger between Disney and Fox is absolutely favourable. After the Commission’s approval, in addition to that of the American Department of Justice (which had requested only the sale of regional sports channels) the merger could become effective already in the first half of 2019.
