The Board of Management of the Council of Europe’s Eurimages Fund has approved the support for the production of 25 film projects, a documentary and an animation. The total amount allocated from the Board is € 7.104.430.
Among the selected films, there are two projects which participated in the previous editions of MIA|Cinema: Jade by Sacha Polak (Netherlands/Belgium/Ireland, MIA 2016) and History of Love by Sonja Prosenc (Slovenia/Italy/Norway, MIA 2015). Furthermore, there are some Italian projects on the list such as Dogman by Matteo Garrone (Italy/France, Archimede, Le Pacte, Rai Cinema), The Guest by Duccio Chiarini (Italy/Switzerland, Mood Film, House on Fire Productions, Cinédokké, with the contribution of MiBACT and the support of the Lazio Region) and Daughter of Mine by Laura Bispuri (Italy/Switzerland/Germany, Vivo Film, Colorado Film, Rai Cinema, The Match Factory, Bord Cadrefilms, with the contribution of MiBACT, Arte/ZDF, RSI, and the support of MEDIA sub-programme of Creative Europe, the Sardinia Region, the Sardegna Film Commission Foundation), who participated in New Cinema Network (now part of MIA) in 2012 with her debut film, Sworn Virgin.
