Publicist Media Italy’s analysis highlights Gomorrah’s success. The total audience is more than 1,2 million spectators, and it is rising by 8%.
On May 3rd, 2019 the season finale of Gomorrah 4 aired on Sky. Considering the data regarding the first airings of Gomorrah 4’s episodes, the whole season’s average audience has been 685 thousand people, rising by 3.5% with regards to the third season. The data regarding reruns of the episodes, considering only the ones during the seven days following the episode premiere, rises by 15%. Considering exclusively Fridays, the average has been 863 thousand spectators. In the following seven days, 1.66 million people have watched the series. Sky Atlantic and Gomorrah 4’s audience is prevalently made up by men (58%), 25 to 64 years old, and living in the Campania region (27%).
On social media, the fourth season has generated more than 61 thousand contents, from March until May 2019 obtaining peaks every Friday during the episodes’ premiere. Publicis Media’s Social and Content Analysts have highlighted a drop between the first and the third episode, followed by a constant growth until the last one. On social media, the season finale has generated 233 thousand interactions, 66% of which taking place on Instagram. The twelfth episode has registered the highest number of contents (more than 7.5k), generating the highest peak ever since the season started. Moreover, the episode’s contents have exceeded more than double the average of other episodes. Taking into consideration the whole season, starting March 29th, more than 2.6 million interactions have been generated, of which 79% on Instagram.
The main content authors are men (56%), of more than 35 years of age (64%), and residing in the Campania region (30%), Lazio (20%), and Lombardy (15%). Data about the number of users’ online searches show that the interest for the series is greater in Southern Italy, particularly in the regions of Campania, Molise, Calabria, Puglia, and Basilicata.
