Italian Minister of Culture, Dario Franceschini, has signed a decree allocating €2 million in support of Ukrainian artists.
The resources will be divided among 20 Italian cultural foundations in shares of € 100,000 for the realization of artist-in-residence programs for Ukrainian artists working in the fields of theater, cinema, visual arts, opera, dance and museology.
As reported by the press release of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini said:
“A concrete support to the Ukrainian artists who, in these dramatic hours, are fleeing from the horrors of war to find refuge in Italy. Allowing them to continue in their creative work is an important gesture of solidarity: a sign that Culture truly unites the world”.
