After What’s next Italy | MIA 2017, Likemeback by Leonardo Guerra Seràgnoli and Just Like My Son by Costanza Quatriglio landed at the Locarno Festival (1-11 August).
Standing out among the many Italian titles selected at the Locarno Festival in the Filmmakers of the Present competition, we find the new film by Leonardo Guerra Seràgnoli, Likemeback, with Denise Tantucci and Angelo Fontana.
Out of competition instead remains Just Like My Son, directed by Costanza Quatriglio, produced by Ascent Film, Caviar Films, Antitalent and Rai Cinema, with the contribution of The Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT). The drama tells the story of Ismail who, after escaping persecution in Afghanistan when he was still a child, finds himself dealing with the senselessness of the war and the history of his people.
