The 16 international co-productions winning Lazio Cinema International have been awarded. Regione Lazio has destined more than € 5 million to the winning projects.
Yesterday, July 9th, 2019, the President of Regione Lazio Nicola Zingaretti awarded the 16 winners of the first call of Lazio Cinema International, the call for proposal destined for international co-productions. The Ruthless by Renato De Maria, starring Riccardo Scamarcio and presented as a project at MIA 2017 Co-Production Market & Pitching Forum, is one of the award winning films. The 16 winners received a financial contribution of € 5.3 million.
The second call of Lazio Cinema International will be open until July 31st, 2019. The call for proposal, which has allocated € 37 million in the past 4 years, promoting the naturalistic and historical heritage of the territory, will finance international co-productions in 2019/2020 with € 10 million.
