MIA turns three and presents itself as a unique and further implemented business hub for the world-wide industry leaders, who create, produce, distribute, sell and buy high-end content – films, TV series and documentaries.
The constantly increasing number of participants from across the globe, the number and quality of content showcased and of projects submitted and presented confirm the success of MIA’s contemporary and flexible formula. MIA fosters business ties and engages the international cross-cut community in tailored activities and mastermind events supporting co-productions and the circulation of scripted and unscripted content.
Shaped in a sharing and cutting-edge culture, MIA is the result of a collective effort of the Italian industrial sector, which has received great synergetic support from institutions. MIA’s third edition in fact was born within the nurturing joint venture between ANICA and APT which has given to the project a further boost with the strategic guidance of the Presidents Francesco Rutelli and Giancarlo Leone, the clear vision of the MIA Steering Committee and the unwavering General Direction of Chiara Sbarigia and Mina Larocca.
MIA has been possible thanks to the trust of the institutions: the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and ITA (Italian Trade Agency) since the first edition; the contribution of the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Lazio Region and Creative Europe; the participation of the European Institutions and international bodies, the national partners, associations and sponsors.
