After Rai, Mediaset has presented its networks schedule for fall 2017 to the press. Piersilvio Berlusconi has emphasised that his company will focus on De Filippi and Bonolis: their loans to Rai (her for hosting the Sanremo Music Festival together with Carlo Conti and him for the live commentaryof Vasco Rossi big concert) are “a sign of our strength”.
Both will be busy on four fronts each. Maria De Filippi with C’èposta per te, Uomini e donne and Tú sí que vales, besides hosting House Party; while Bonolis will host Music, three events, Chi ha incastrato Peter Pan?, the game show Avanti un altro and a new programme on Italia1 along the lines of Il Sensodella vita.
Most successful TV programmes have been confirmed, such as Domenica Live, Caduta Libera, Quarto Grado, Grande FratelloVip, Isola deiFamosi and the live broadcast of a Champions League football match every week.
The most important changes are Scommettiamo Che on Canale 5 and Ultima Fermata with Stafano De Martino on Italia 1, another product by Maria De Filippi’s Fascino company. Nicola Savino is one of the new faces, after the fee ceiling in Rai (as Fiorello said on Che tempo che fa), together with Gialappa’s Band. We have high expectations for the graphic novel Adrian: it was proposed to Sky in 2009 and it lands now on Mediaset, with many artists such as Milo Manara for the drawings, Nicola Piovani for the music and Alessandro Baricco for the lyrics; the protagonist will be Adiano Celentano as an anti-globalization activist against the injustices of the world.
