The Addams Family, the new animated film based on the comics by Charles Addams, makes its debut in Italian cinemas with € 3,543,888, winning the first position in the top 10. Alessandro Siani’s latest movie, Il giorno più bello del mondo, debuts in the second place with earnings of € 2,925,240. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil resists in the third place, with € 2,219,819 during the week-end and € 10,570,597 in three weeks.
Joker continues to be a major force, earning € 2,209,380 during the week-end and € 27.036.523 in total. Into the Labyrinth, starring Dustin Hoffman and Toni Servillo, makes € 1,196,791 winning the fifth place in the rankings. The new entry Doctor Sleep, a psychological horror film based on the 2013 novel by Stephen King, is sixth with € 1,118,764.
Terminator: Dark Fate is in the seventh position with € 898,105, while Downton Abbey holds the eight place, earning € 829,030 during the last weekend and € 2,369,067 in two weeks in cinemas. Tutto il mio folle amore by Gabriele Salvatores makes € 822,842 on its fifth weekend in cinemas, getting the ninth place in the rankings with total earnings of € 1,822,996. The thriller Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark closes the top 10 with € 199,063.
The Addams Family, which is back to the big screen just in time for Halloween, dominates this weekend’s ranking with earnings of almost 3 million. Joker enters the top 3 highest-grossing movies of the year in Italy, after The Lion King with 37 million and Avengers: Endgame with 30 million.
