The Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities (MiBAC) allocated the three-year and annual funding reserved for cultural institutions, including in the film and audiovisual sector.
It’s over € 12m the amount allocated by MiBAC for the triennial and annual contributions destined to the cultural institutions as a modality of support to their activities established by the 545/1996 Law. More in detail €10.215.000 will be dispensed for the triennial contributions according to the cultural institutions table 2018-2020 while € 2.000.519 for the annual contributions for a total of € 12.215.519 available thanks to the 2019 Budget Law.
In order to be eligible for support, cultural institutions must meet certain requirements as to promote and carry out research and cultural development activities on an continuous way finalized to expand the knowledge”. Important for access to funding is to have available a publicly available “significant bibliographic, archival, museum, cinematographic, musical, audiovisual heritage”.
