Shooting in progress in Naples for the third season of the TV series My Brilliant Friend, based on the novels by Elena Ferrante.
Among the news, the locations see the Neapolitan ones (Luzzatti district) and new settings in Florence; also, the two actresses who play the protagonists Lila and Lenù – respectively Gaia Girace and Margherita Mazzucco – will be in the first episodes and then will be replaced by other faces, to justify the more adult age in the narration.
The third chapter of the saga , based on the book Those Who Leave and Those Who Stay (E/O, 2013) continues the story where it left off with My Brilliant Friend – The Story of a New Name, whose season aired this year on Rai1.
My Brilliant Friend is a series produced by Fandango, Wildside and The Apartment (Fremantle), co-produced with Umedia, in collaboration with Rai Fiction, HBO and TIMvision, with the support of the Regione Campania, Film Commission Regione Campania, the municipalities of Naples, Caserta and Ischia and the MEDIA program of the European Union.
The series was presented at MIA Market 2018 (GREENLit).
