Announcing it is Reed Hastings, CEO of Netflix, during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Strategies for the future won’t include the construction of a cinema circuit.
The attention of Netflix, confirms Hastings, will focus on streaming entertainment, improving TV series and movies already in the catalog.
In the same interview, the CEO of Netflix confirmed the type of commitment in the sports sector: to focus on documentaries with a sports background, such as “The Last Dance” on Michael Jordan or “Formula 1: Drive to Survive” instead of live broadcast.
Among the projects for the future surely the most interesting will be the challenge with Disney: Netflix aims to counter the supremacy of the family animation giant, and it is to be hoped that this clash between titans will ensure new content to users for years to come.
