Matteo Botrugno and Daniele Coluccini’s film Il Contagio, based on the 2008 novel by Walter Siti, is currently in post-production and is planned to be released within the year. Notorious Pictures has signed a co-production agreement with Kimera Film and it will exclusively distribute the movie. Rai Cinema and Gekon Productions are producers too.
Betrugno and Coluccini sign their second work together. They won a special mention at the 2011 Nastri D’Argento Awards Ceremony for their debut film Et in terra pax. The cast members of Il Contagio are Vinicio Marchioni, Anna Foglietta and Vincenzo Salemme.
Guglielmo Marchetti, the president and CEO of Notorious Pictures, commented on this decision: “we’re glad to collaborate with Kimera Film. This agreement is part of our strategy based on the integration of production and co-production activities”.
