The 2018 edition of the Hot Docs Festival will host eleven official delegations from around the world. The latest countries to have confirmed their participation were Germany, Japan, the US and Italy, that will join the other delegations from Atlantic Canada, Bermuda, Chile, the Nordic Region, Northern Ireland and Mexico.
Hot Docs is the North America’s largest documentary fest and this spring it will run in Toronto from April 26 to May 6, 2018. The Canadian festival provides important networking opportunities for the delegations formed by established producers and broadcasters that work across social, cultural and political documentary genres.
This year the Fest is also planning a special program called “The Changing Face of Europe”, in collaboration with European Film Promotion. It will showcase ten documentaries that describe the current political, cultural and economic situation that affects Europe in these recent years.
