Regione Veneto publishes a €5 million call to support audiovisual productions interrupted due to the Covid-19 emergency.
The initiative is part of the POR FESR 2014-2020 program and refers to the Venetian production companies, engaged in shooting or post-production.
The aim of the call is to help the cultural and creative supply-chain, by supporting the development of new audiovisual products and services. Four million out of five will go to the production of feature films and TV series; €500.000 for animation works and €500.000 for short films and documentaries. The contribution will be calculated at the rate of 40% of the eligible expenses in the case of television series, fiction and animation; 50%, for documentaries and short films.
Jacopo Chessa, Director of the Veneto Film Commission Foundation, said: “The Veneto Film Commission is working to create services dedicated to productions and to all subjects in the audiovisual world, gathering stimuli and suggestions from professionals in the sector. In such a complex moment, this announcement from the Regione Veneto is an important signal that allows us to plan a restart“.
Applications for participation can be sent on the Regione Veneto website, until 3 p.m. on June 15, 2020.
