Roberto Stabile, already Head of International Relations at ANICA, has been appointed President of the Lucana Film Commission.
“It is a great honor – says Stabile – given by great Region, I am well aware of the amount of work that awaits me and I accept the challenge. I know the problems of the Film Commission, representing them for many years at ICE, together with the main Audiovisual Associations, and I am ready to work with the support of the Region and in collaboration with the National Coordination of Film Commissions, to ensure that Basilicata, natural ground for very important audiovisual productions, becomes the home of future national and international companies being able to provide first-rate services and funds that enhance the already strong attraction given by the beauty of the territory. It is a time of world crisis, the audiovisual sector will have the opportunity, even with a healthy use of the funds that will come from Europe, to drive the entire country in the rebirth and presence in the main markets.”
The appointment comes after the management, now completed, of Paride Leporace, director with whom the Lucana Film Commission was born in 2013; Leporace’s mandate can’be extended, so the Film Commission will also have a new director.
“The Lucana Film Commission, in collaboration with the Region, with all the territorial realities, with the Directorate General for Cinema, with Istituto Luce Cinecittà and with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation together with all the national Audiovisual Associations, I am sure that will do its part. I therefore thank the President of the Region, Vito Bardi and the entire Council for the appointment that honors me and the President of ANICA, Francesco Rutelli, for granting me the opportunity to put my experience at the service of this new task”.
