The new Sky Original series Romulus will be broadcast tonight, exclusively on Sky Atlantic, and streaming on NOW TV.
Ten episodes shot in protolatin (as in the film Il primo re, of which Romulus elaborates an independent version), created and produced by Matteo Rovere, who signs a project for TV for the first time.
The series – produced by Sky, Cattleya (part of ITV Studios, which has been entrusted with international distribution) and Groenlandia – is directed by Matteo Rovere, together with Michele Alhaique and Enrico Maria Artale.
According to Nicola Maccanico, Executive Vice President of Programming Sky Italy, “Romulus is basically a story about power and the distortions that derive from it, also useful to demonstrate how some dynamics were born with man”.
Romulus was presented during the 2020 edition of MIA, within the GREENLit section.
