The European Film Promotion (EFP) network has launched an initiative to promote films, festivals, companies and national film promotion institutes in Europe.
The program conceived by the European Film Promotion includes a series of periodic weekly meetings held by the members of the crisis committee, obviously held by video conference, during which agents of sales, festivals and audiovisual markets, other partners and associations can discuss the effects of the ongoing health emergency and the solutions used throughout Europe to deal with it.
Among the guests of the first meetings, the directors of European digital-reinvented festivals and markets: Jérôme Paillard, director of the Cannes Film Market, who discussed the idea of a virtual Cannes market; Yianna Sarra from Thessaloniki Documentary, Tine Fischer from CHP:DOX, Laurence Herszberg from Séries Mania and Emilie Bujes from Visions du Réel.
The European Film Promotion collaborates with these virtual events and provides all the suitable digital tools; also, EFP plans to organize online training sessions for members and other partners, dedicated to the “hot topics of the digital switchover“, such as social media, digital advertising, online traffic, b2b digital tools, VOD.
