The 74 films of the 2020 Nastri d’Argento of documentary’s official selection have been announced.
There are 25 titles related to the “Cinema del reale” section, another 25 works about the protagonists and stories of Cinema, Spettacolo e Cultura, 12 Docufictions and 12 Films and art events.
Among these, three titles by Marco Spagnoli, head of MIA Doc: in the “Cinema Spettacolo Cultura” section, Cecchi Gori – Una famiglia italiana by Spagnoli and Simone Isola, produced by Bielle Re; as Docufictions, Figli del destino by Spagnoli and Francesco Miccichè, produced by Red Film in collaboration with Rai Fiction; and Il nostro Papa, by Spagnoli and Tiziana Lupi, produced in collaboration with con Rai Cinema by Mario Rossini (for Red Film) and Antonio Cervi for (Lazos de Sangre) and distributed by Istituto Luce-Cinecittà.
The representation of the Istituto Luce Cinecittà also is strong in the selection, with 24 produced or distributed titles.
The announcement of the finalists will be followed by the delivery of the prizes in Rome next month.
