From 26 to 28 April, the Far East Film Festival (FEFF) of Udine will host the second edition of Focus Asia, a co-production market where Asian and European buyers will share on different genre productions (finished projects). But there’s more: this year Focus Asia will be an operational space, with over one hundred decision makers, financiers and sale agents and thirteen projects coming from as many European countries.
The programme includes one-to-one meetings, market screenings at the Cinema Visionario of Udine and several panels on development, funding and distribution strategies. Among the selected projects there’s also the Italian Mr. Zhang by Patrizio Gioffredi, produced by Antonio Tozzi for Yanez Film and Laura Catalano for 8 Production.
Focus Asia is organised by Centro Espressioni Cinematografiche/Far East Festival of Udine in collaboration with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Audiovisual Fund, MIA | International Audiovisual Market, Trieste Science+Fiction Film Festival and with the support of the General Direction for Cinema– MiBACT, Istituto Luce, the Ministry for Economic Development, ICE -Agency for Trade Promotion Abroad, the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Municipality of Udine.
