During the 76th Venice Film Festival, at the Spazio Orizzonti, the team that will launch the Veneto Film Commission was presented.
It is composed of the president Luigi Bacialli and the councilors Cecilia Valmarana, Giulia Lavarone, Giacomo Brunoro and Vittorio Dalle Ore. The name of the director is still unknown, and will be announced in the coming days. The objective of the Veneto Film Commission is to bring the greatest number of Italian, local and international productions to work in the best way in the Veneto region with the aim of creating employment and development.
The film commission has been endowed with 3 million euros, but by December a new call for tenders will be announced which will allocate 5 million euros. Some important productions have already drawn on contributions, such as The New Pope, a series directed by Paolo Sorrentino and produced by Wildside, and Effetto Domino by Alessandro Rossetto, produced by Jolefilm and Rai Cinema.
