Elizabeth Karlsen, guest at MIA Market 2018, and Stephen Woolley will be awarded at BAFTA 2019. The two British producers will receive their awards on 10 February.
Among the most prolific independent film producers working in the UK today, Elizabeth Karlsen and Stephen Woolley have produced, among others, the famous Carol, starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, and the more recent Colette, starring Keira Knightley and Dominic West. Now the two co-founders of Number 9 Films have received an important award: the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema Award, which they will receive at the 72nd BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) on February 10, 2019 in London. The producer Elizabeth Karlsen was also one of the guests of MIA|Mercato Internazionale dell’Audiovisivo, in the 2018 edition.
